Braised Pork Belly - Chinese Style
Soup Mixed, dry chili, garlic, cloves,aniseed star,kayu manis, dark soya sauce,light soya sauce,
oyster sauce, rock sugar etc
4 strips Pork belly
1 packet fried tofu
8 hard boil eggs peeled
50 ml Chinese cooking wine
6 stalk spring onion
1500 ml hot water
Marinate Mixed
1 tbs 5star powder,
1 tbs pepper powder,
1 tbs dark soya,
1 tbs light Soya
pinch of salt and sugar
Soup Mixed
2 dry / fresh chili
8 clove garlic
6 cloves
3 aniseed star
1 stick kayu manis (Asean grocer)
1.5 tpb dark soya souce
3 tbs light soya souce
2 tbs oyster sauce
1 medium rock sugar
Marinate pork belly with marinate mixed
Leave for 20 min
Heat wok with 250ml cooking oil
Deep fry pork belly till lightly brown/darken
Drain and set a side
Heat up 1500 ml hot water in a pot
Add in fried pork belly, fried tofu, soup mixed, hard boil eggs,
Put cover and cook for 45 min
Or until the juice has reduced to half
Add in Chinese rice wine
Cook for another 15 min
Add in spring onion and serve with rice.
