Coronavirus Alert
Coronovirus also known as Covid-19 in short CV.
CV came undetected like a theft
in the night, it's hides among us and disguised
itself as influenza but a much vicious infectious
disease than Ebola and Sars.
Some people even compared CV
to the last deadly influenza pandemic of Spanish flu from January 1918 to
December 1920, it infected 500 million people (about a quarter of the world’s
population at the time. Number of death 50,000,000.
As at
It is also presumed the world
population could get infected and become CV carrier if no cure and vaccine available in the very
near future.
Italy CV total death is top
of the chart follow by Spain, USA, France, Iran, China etc. The most unbelievable things is some countries’
leaders have been undermined the CV virus and are not taking immediate
stringent precaution methods to curb the spread of the CV virus when it was first
detected in Wuhan, China.
Because of its highly
infectious rate, people were infected through closed contact, the virus can stay on different materials
left behind by CV carrier from few hours to days, recent medical staff also
warn that CV could spread far together with micro droplets when coughing and
sneezing.
We have to accept that we
are going for a long haul combat with CV. We have to change our daily life activities
and habits while we waiting for any cure and vaccine to be discovered.
Some good daily CV
protection and hygiene methods could help to control the spread of the virus.
There are including self
isolation, frequent wash hand, wear mask, wear protective body gear if
necessary, hand and body hygiene, limit number of people in public area and practice
social distancing. After come home, have
a shower and change of clothing , put your shoes in soapy water and sanitize
your hand bag.
The CV symptoms might vary
depends on patients’ stage of health condition and their age group. The most
common symptoms are flu, sore throat, dry cough, fever, heavy breathing, some
even have diarrhea and lost all sense of smell.
Older people,
and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes,
chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious
illness.
Currently, there are no vaccines that protect against COVID-19.
There is no specific treatment for COVID-19. Early diagnosis and daily basic
protective care measures are important.
The following methods might
temporary help to safe guard our body from CV attack :.
- drink hot liquids regularly like tea, ginger, turmeric in hot water;
- regularly gargles throat with salt, vinegar or any oral antiseptic
- giving a good chest and back massage to relief chest tightness
- strengthen body immune system and take plenty of anti- inflammatory foods, eg vitamin c, zinc etc from green vegetable and fruits.
- avoid cold water, ice cream, soft drinks, deep fried foods.
- practice good healthy lifestyle and diet
There are plenty of other
online remedies and methods but please be vigilant when trying something new
and not proven, immediate seek doctor advice or treatment if symptoms persist.
A good outdoor sunbathing,
exercise and hot bath is highly recommended.
During the period of
mandatory social distance, best stay at home for your family and others. If one
person puts themselves at risk,, everyone in the unit is at risk.
We all hope we could defeat
CV in a very near future when everyone is doing the right things.
Sadly we are still know
little about the CV, deaths continue to rise globally, hospital will be
overwhelmed.
Calling for everyone to stay calm, stay strong and with solidarity.
Take care…
